Salary Converter
Convert between hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, and annual pay
About the Salary Converter
Compare pay rates by converting between hourly, daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and annual figures. Useful when comparing job offers, evaluating a raise, calculating freelance rates, or budgeting.
The "hours per week" and "weeks per year" inputs let you tune the conversion to your situation — full-time US workers typically use 40 and 52, while part-time and contract roles often use different values. The result is gross pay before taxes and deductions.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the daily figure based on 8 hours?
An 8-hour day is the standard reference. If you work different hours, look at the hourly rate and multiply by your actual day length.
Are these figures pre- or post-tax?
Pre-tax (gross) — actual take-home pay depends on your country's tax brackets, social security, healthcare, and other deductions. Use a country-specific paycheck calculator for net pay.
What about overtime, bonuses, or vacation?
Not modeled — the converter assumes a flat rate. For unpaid leave, reduce "weeks worked per year" accordingly. For overtime or bonuses, add them separately to the annual figure.
